In the 16th century, an Indian pilgrim, Baba Budan, passed through Yemen while returning from Mecca and smuggled out seven coffee seeds (coffee was controlled by the Yemenite and coffee was hard to come by), and planted these seeds in the Karnataka region, that sets the stage for the cultivation of coffee in India.
Coffee from the Thippanahalli Estate is grown on some of the highest peaks in the region by fifth-generation planters. One of the oldest families with a history of 230 years in this district and are pioneers in a coffee plantation. India have vast and rich history in coffee cultivation.
This coffee is comforting and easy to drink, great for a all-day drinking. This India coffee is also part of the component to our Rufous, Signature Blend.
